College-Level-Examination Program (CLEP)

Choose CLEP, the College-Level-Examination Program, to receive college credit for less money and achieve your educational and career goals faster through CLEP examinations developed by the College Board.  Earn qualifying scores on any of the 33 CLEP examinations, which test the knowledge that you have already acquired.

As a first-time or a returning college student, CLEP can help you:

  • Save money on tuition and fees, and reduce student loans
  • Earn up to 12 college credits in 90 minutes, and
  • Graduate on-time

CLEP offers you the flexibility to continue your studies in any of the 2900 colleges and universities that accept CLEP credits. In addition, the computer-based exams are administered by 1700 institutions across the country, which makes the test-administration process very convenient.

  1. Find out if the university or college of your choice accepts CLEP credits
  2. Read the exam descriptions and decide which exam(s) to take
  3. Register for the exam in any of the 1700 test center
  4. Get The CLEP Official Study Guide to prepare for the exam
  5. Take the exam!
