Become a Partner

The goal in developing LearningCounts.org is to help solve a growing national problem by increasing the number of postsecondary credentials and degrees awarded in this country. With the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL)—a national leader in Prior Learning Assessment (PLA)—spearheading this effort, LearningCounts.org will increase access to PLA opportunities on a national scale, while modeling exemplary practice in portfolio-based PLA.

Participating partner institutions currently pay no fees to participate in LearningCounts.org. Partner institutions must be a CAEL member and agree to accept our credit recommendations as any other transfer credit. Students will pay the following fees:
  • Tuition for CAEL 100 is $500 and includes portfolio development and required textbook
  • Portfolio Review fees are $250 for up to 6 credits in any one discipline (For example, 1-6 credits attempted in business: $250; 7-12 credits attempted in the same discipline: $500. Credits attempted in additional disciplines follow the same structure).
